The Lapland Chamber Orchestra – from Bach to Hammond
The programme by Lapland Chamber Orchestra is just what one would expect of this illustrious orchestra: a brand-new concerto by composer Outi Tarkiainen, a Hammond concerto by Sami Klemola and J. S Bach keyboard concertos. Soloists Emil Holmström and Marianna Shirinyan.

Alex Halme, Helena Bollen, Joa Kankaanpää and Astrid Wetterstrand from the Espoo Music Institute (EMO) and Yuhan Wu from the Music Institute Juvenalia perform as part of the Piano Day.

The Espoo Cultural Centre will be filled with piano music. Piano Day performers include young pianists from the Youth Piano Academy and the Espoo music institutes, researcher Anna Ramstedt and Marianna Shirinyan and Aleksei Zaitsev piano duo.

The finnish premiere of Enno Poppe’s Rundfunk is performed by Tallinn New Music Ensemble and defunensemble. The world premiere of new piano work by Veli-Matti Puumala is performed by Eveliina Sumelius.

Tapiola Youth Piano Competition
The traditional Tapiola Youth Piano Competition invites pianists from all over the world to Espoo. The competition performances are open for audience and free of charge.
