The Espoo Cultural Centre will be filled with music as young pianists are brought together to perform in series of concerts during the Piano Day.
The day is started by the Lunchtime concert by the most youngest of pianists, then followed by students of music institutes of Espoo. Researcher Anna Ramstedt will give a talk about side effects and gender equality in piano teaching, while Marianna Shirinyan and Aleksei Zaitsev will together provide a favourable picture of effective interaction between student and teacher. In the end, the pianists of The Youth Piano Academy of Finland present the results from the Severin von Eckardstein masterclass. Between the concerts we’ll discover the wonderful Disklavier piano and participate in a Q&A with some of the artists performing at the festival.
The highlight of the day will be the concert by The Lapland Chamber Orchestra.
